Lots of high performance tires are directional, which means they can only be "rotated" front to back. In addition, I've seen quite a few cars with different aspect ratios and widths front and rear. (Aspect ratio is the distance between the rim and where it touches the ground). If you have this setup and directional tires, you don't get to rotate your tires at all.
