Buy Me a Beer!
In honor of my 21st birthday in a couple of weeks, I’ve added a little widget to Poorer Than You - if you look to the right of this entry, there’s a little section called “Birthday Special” and an icon imploring you to buy me a beer for my birthday. For those of you who don’t live in the United States, 21 is our legal drinking age - therefore, I’m finally entering adulthood. Unless you want to count 25 (the age at which you can rent a car) as the final milestone…
Anyways, I thought it would be a fun little thing to put up for my birthday. It uses the PayPal donation system, and you can pay as much as you like. The suggested price is $3.00, but any amount is appreciated.
Rest assured, the money donated will only be used for booze. If you wish to donate for any other purpose, please contact me.

25 is also the age that car insurance may (or may not) go down. It ususally does, but you never know!
Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday.
Someone needs to tell Geico about that 25 thing. I just turned 25 and got nothing. I called up they told me about 26, so I’m shopping for insurance.
Sorry for the rant,
Happy Birthday again.

Baz,
Some insurance companies have even wackier rules than the “25 Years Old” one. State Farm, I know, doesn’t drop your rate at 25 - they drop it when you’ve had your license for 7 years.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 21’s a big one, and on a financial note - you find out how expensive it is to drink…in a bar at least. It’s so much cheaper to make your own drinks, but for the 21st you must have a bar experience. Lucky you, I just got a FatWallet transfer into my PayPal account so I bought you a beer.
HAVE FUN!

Thanks Michelle! Not many of my friends are bar people (at least not the ones here, in California maybe), so I don’t think we’ll go out much after the obligatory birthday bar hop.
Still, it will be nice to be allowed to go out where ever I want from now on - it’s been a big holdup to have people have to make plans around me. “We can’t go there because Steph isn’t 21″ has been said too many times!
