You definitely have the right attitude. My student debt is currently $17,000 but will be more like $20,000 when I graduate at the end of the year. I have some more pressing goals at present (my debt is interest-free) but am happy with the way forward for me. Sounds like you are too. I know how frustrating it is though as a student, lacking that full-time income to move forward and pay off debt/save. Hang in there! Maybe there is something wrong in your budget management. Is that 2007 was better than before ? Maybe there is something wrong in your budget management.

That's really impressive!!! When I was a student, even after income, my net worth still managed to drop by $15,000 per year, and 4 years after I said goodbye to good ol' academia I'm still paying for it!! Congrats! Wow!
