I’ve always been a big proponent of using smart personal finance to be able to do great things in your life (that’s the point, isn’t it?), including donating to charities that fit your view of how to make the world a better place.
Plus, if you have income in the United States, you are eligible to deduct charity donations (to registered 501(c)(3) charities) on your taxes. If you’re planning to donate this year in order to deduct on your upcoming 2012 taxes, you only have a few more days to do it!
